we conquered m hill! we finally found the right path to take us all the way to the top of m hill where the initials for the school of mines are located. what a view from the summit!

15 outside
spring has hit south dakota or at least we've been getting some very, very mild winter weather. either way we've been hitting the trails on m hill in downtown rapid as well as roasting marshmallows and hotdogs on our fire pit.

beautiful blizzard/15 outside
got showered with snow...i guess dumped on would be a little more accurate. i can easily say a foot has piled up in the past 15 hours. wind isn't too bad allowing it to actually blanket everything and not just blow into 5 foot drifts around the base. keith and i got our snow suits on and shoveled the drive so we would have less work once the snow tapers off. feels lovely out! we ended up making a snow couch and got a little snuggle in before heading in for lunch. every day i wake up in south dakota i feel more and more that i should have been born here.

15 outside
we have been visited by the most beautiful, spring weather here in south dakota. i'm talking short sleeves and days at the park. i'm in love! we scooted, skated, walked, played, and even waded during our marathon of warm weather. don't let the patch of snow fool you, it really is almost 70!

we got an early start to the day and an early start outside. what a fantastic sun rise this morning, the sky was blush red and studded with clouds. i'm in love with winters in south dakota.

15 outside
after days of -40 weather with winds gusting up to 35 mph we were finally able to venture out for some fun. our extreme weather makes it difficult to safely satisfy the 15 outside pledge but we stayed active in the house with lots of hide and seek, yoga, and valentine's crafts. as soon as i can get some good shots i'll post pictures of all the goodies we made to decorate the house. for now, enjoy our 15 minutes outside on this beautiful february afternoon.
