i have a drawer where i store and collect random beads, keys, lockets, and charms. basically anything that can be strung onto fishing line and hung around the house. my little hanging collages! i think it's been 2+ years since the last one i made, plenty of beads and random goodies building up in that drawer. used parts of an armadillo mobile, religious charms from marie laveau's in new orleans, beads from a hemp necklace my college roommate made me, gold coins from a greek festival anklet, and other bits and bobs. for dramatic flair i used a huge rock i found in the hills with a perfect hole in the middle of it as a weight.

birthday wreath

my birthday wreath is finished and beautiful is i say so myself. now it's full steam ahead to christmas decorations!

dysfunctional-family movies

i was rating movies on netflix earlier and this is the question my rating of the lion king generated.

"How often do you watch Dysfunctional-Family Movies like The Lion King: Special Edition?"

diapers galore

UPS brought me a very happy surprise yesterday, my stash of gogreen pocket diapers. they feel and look amazing. as for as effectiveness, they are working out quite well indeed, very comparable to the couple bumgenius diapers i have. i give the gogreens 2 thumbs up and if they hold up to wear and tear i will be a repeat customer. maybe i'll try the fuzzy ones next time!

aren't the star patterned ones so cute?!

one crafty mama

feels like i have too many projects going on. pennant banner for finn's room is still on hold due to an unexpected wreath project. as if that wasn't enough, i've started making decorations for christmas. last year i started them too late and never finished but this year i have vowed to get the garlands for the christmas tree done on time!

books that are just itching to become paper garlands

stage 1 of transformation

unexpected wreath project has been finished and in quite a timely manner i might add. i now have a wreath for my door and one for a friend's.

now to commence another wreath for a good friend's birthday. i must say it feels lovely to keep my hands busy and my mind focused. if i continue at this dizzying pace you will be home before i know it my love. only days before our directions converge in to one straight line.

...and halloween continues.

still enjoying the sweetness of halloween candy round our parts.
