sweet sunday

after spending a lazy morning lounging in bed we filled the car with cold weather gear, packed some snacks, and headed to custer state park. nothing recharges me more than walking on a pine needle strewn path beside a frozen lake while holding hands with my boys. we watch as our breath combines and joins the snow clouds hanging in the sky. snow clouds that have only now, at 40 till midnight, began to let snowflakes free-fall to earth. i could not think of a better way to spend a sunday than marching through the woods with my family. true love.

it's official!

christmas is here!

tomorrow is the big day, the long awaited partylight candle party. hoping for a nice turn out and driving myself crazy with last minute to-do lists. i think i'll have fun once the party commences, but at the present moment i'm kinda wishing i had never signed up for a party. ugh! let tomorrow be over quickly.

so sorry for the extended absence. with keith home my focus has switched from blogging to spending as much time as possible with the love of my life. days are long and i like it that way. we are a hallmark commercial. got a good 4 inches of snow over the course of 2 days. we sledded, hiked, and built the 1st snowman of the season.
