carolina's trip take 2.

edited a few picks from the trip to and around the carolinas. i think these turned out really neat looking.

carolina's trip

left town late sunday and managed to get to asheville, nc in just under 30 hours with around the clock driving and minimal stops. very difficult when you're traveling with 3 kids and 2 dogs but everyone was amazing in the car. rolled into asheville just after midnight on monday and man it felt so nice to sleep with out moving not to mention the big hug I got when I saw my mom for the first time in over 2 years. now enjoying the wonderful spring weather, flowers, and cute asheville shops.

we conquered m hill! we finally found the right path to take us all the way to the top of m hill where the initials for the school of mines are located. what a view from the summit!

spring has hit south dakota or at least we've been getting some very, very mild winter weather. either way we've been hitting the trails on m hill in downtown rapid as well as roasting marshmallows and hotdogs on our fire pit.

birthday party fun

party day!

today is finn's birthday celebration with some of our friends in south dakota and again i am feeling overwhelmed and crazy at the thought of having people over. i think it's compounded by the fact that keith is working so i am doing double time here, setting up and trying to keep all the kids distracted. i just need to make it through today and i can relax for the rest of the weekend. for now, i am hiding in the closet with my computer trying to get a few shreds of sanity back!

i made this little beauty at last nights MOPS meeting. i really look forward to crafting, eating, and chatting with all the mothers each month, if only they met more than once a month. but maybe that's the magic that makes each meeting so sweet!

even after being alive for a year i am still learning all the nuances of your personality. i do know that you love putting everything in your mouth, you're ALWAYS hungry, you love taking a tub, and for you the outdoors is like a second home. happy birthday little star, i love you with all my heart!
